I started my second quarter of college, it's really amazing. I have a 4.0, I'm working on keeping it. I have been watching movies, reading books, and listening to lectures on transcendental meditation and quantum physics... I'm obsessed. I'm looking for people to talk with about these things. If you want to learn, or if you know about it... let's chat. I've been listening to the news on NPR, I just enjoy the sound of the voices. I stopped eating sugar, I stopped smoking, I stopped drinking coffee. I'm trying to stop negative thoughts. I've been meditating twice a day, and I can totally tell a difference. It's all mental. [21 Oct 2005|04:34pm] I arrive in Kansas City at 9:55 AM tomorrow. I have a lot of plans, and most likely will only spend time with people who are very important. It'll be nice to take a break from working everynight... I have so much more I could tell you about my life here... and most of you have no idea what I'm even doing up here. So here's a quick run through.... My drawing teacher is hot, he listens to Brian Eno (which rules). My fashion teacher is a genius, she had a facelift... I can just tell. I like to talk about watching her sleep. My textiles teacher likes to talk about underwear and say strange words. I have a great new friend. His name is Josh, and he has a boyfriend named Victor, they're both amazing. We cook dinner for eachother on Tuesdays and Thursdays after class... last night we made tostadas. I work at a European Cafe, it's been open since 1948. I'm a waitress, but they also make custom wedding cakes and whatnot... along with incredible food and pastries. My roommates are all really cool, and we do a lot of really awesome crap. Our house is always clean, and people are so suprised at how huge it is. My room is dirty. And I met this incredible guy, but moved to Venice yesterday. Needless to say, I'm heartbroken. If you have any other questions about my Chicago status, feel free to ask.
